<p>This isn&#8217;t revolutionary and it really isn&#8217;t even a recipe.  But up until this year, I&#8217;ve pretty much only eaten fresh green beans steamed.  I have to say that squeak really creeps me out!  But it&#8217;s fine.  Add some butter and salt and it&#8217;s an acceptable vegetable addition.  But this year I wanted to change things up&#8230;.especially since I have an exorbitant amount of beans coming in!  I planted two green bean tepees this year.  5 poles with 5 plants around each pole.  So I have 50 bean plants!  I want to eat a ton and share a lot and preserve a lot.  I think I&#8217;m on track for all of that!<span id="more-2161"></span></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://i0.wp.com/allthelittlereasons.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/Sauteed-Green-Beans-www.allthelittlereasons.com-1.jpg?ssl=1"><img data-recalc-dims="1" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-2163" src="https://i0.wp.com/allthelittlereasons.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/Sauteed-Green-Beans-www.allthelittlereasons.com-1.jpg?resize=353%2C531&#038;ssl=1" alt="Sauteed Green Beans www.allthelittlereasons.com -1" width="353" height="531" srcset="https://i0.wp.com/allthelittlereasons.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/Sauteed-Green-Beans-www.allthelittlereasons.com-1.jpg?w=353&amp;ssl=1 353w, https://i0.wp.com/allthelittlereasons.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/Sauteed-Green-Beans-www.allthelittlereasons.com-1.jpg?resize=199%2C300&amp;ssl=1 199w, https://i0.wp.com/allthelittlereasons.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/Sauteed-Green-Beans-www.allthelittlereasons.com-1.jpg?resize=150%2C225&amp;ssl=1 150w" sizes="(max-width: 353px) 100vw, 353px" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://i0.wp.com/allthelittlereasons.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/www.allthelittlereasons.com-Sauteed-Green-Beans.jpg?ssl=1"><img data-recalc-dims="1" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-2170" src="https://i0.wp.com/allthelittlereasons.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/www.allthelittlereasons.com-Sauteed-Green-Beans.jpg?resize=531%2C353&#038;ssl=1" alt="www.allthelittlereasons.com Sauteed Green Beans" width="531" height="353" srcset="https://i0.wp.com/allthelittlereasons.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/www.allthelittlereasons.com-Sauteed-Green-Beans.jpg?w=531&amp;ssl=1 531w, https://i0.wp.com/allthelittlereasons.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/www.allthelittlereasons.com-Sauteed-Green-Beans.jpg?resize=300%2C199&amp;ssl=1 300w, https://i0.wp.com/allthelittlereasons.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/www.allthelittlereasons.com-Sauteed-Green-Beans.jpg?resize=150%2C99&amp;ssl=1 150w" sizes="(max-width: 531px) 100vw, 531px" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: left;">So back to this non-recipe.  Start with cleaned, cut beans.  Throw a couple peeled cloves of garlic in a cast iron skillet with olive oil.  Bring the oil to temp and add beans and salt.  Toss them around until they brown up a little, then add a bit of water (a few tablespoons &#8212; I eyeball it) and immediately put the lid on.  Let steam for about 3 minutes until the beans are tender.  Toss them around until you reach the desired brownness.  And that&#8217;s it!  You will never go back to simple steamed beans again!</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://i0.wp.com/allthelittlereasons.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/Sauteed-Green-Beans-www.allthelittlereasons.com-3.jpg?ssl=1"><img data-recalc-dims="1" loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-2166" src="https://i0.wp.com/allthelittlereasons.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/Sauteed-Green-Beans-www.allthelittlereasons.com-3.jpg?resize=531%2C353&#038;ssl=1" alt="Sauteed Green Beans-www.allthelittlereasons.com-3" width="531" height="353" srcset="https://i0.wp.com/allthelittlereasons.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/Sauteed-Green-Beans-www.allthelittlereasons.com-3.jpg?w=531&amp;ssl=1 531w, https://i0.wp.com/allthelittlereasons.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/Sauteed-Green-Beans-www.allthelittlereasons.com-3.jpg?resize=300%2C199&amp;ssl=1 300w, https://i0.wp.com/allthelittlereasons.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/Sauteed-Green-Beans-www.allthelittlereasons.com-3.jpg?resize=150%2C99&amp;ssl=1 150w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 531px) 100vw, 531px" /></a> <a href="https://i0.wp.com/allthelittlereasons.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/Sauteed-Green-Beans-www.allthelittlereasons.com-4.jpg?ssl=1"><img data-recalc-dims="1" loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-2167" src="https://i0.wp.com/allthelittlereasons.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/Sauteed-Green-Beans-www.allthelittlereasons.com-4.jpg?resize=531%2C353&#038;ssl=1" alt="Sauteed Green Beans-www.allthelittlereasons.com-4" width="531" height="353" srcset="https://i0.wp.com/allthelittlereasons.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/Sauteed-Green-Beans-www.allthelittlereasons.com-4.jpg?w=531&amp;ssl=1 531w, https://i0.wp.com/allthelittlereasons.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/Sauteed-Green-Beans-www.allthelittlereasons.com-4.jpg?resize=300%2C199&amp;ssl=1 300w, https://i0.wp.com/allthelittlereasons.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/Sauteed-Green-Beans-www.allthelittlereasons.com-4.jpg?resize=150%2C99&amp;ssl=1 150w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 531px) 100vw, 531px" /></a></p>
