I love to decorate my “mantle” for the seasons. Since I don’t have a real mantle, I grabbed a wide shelf from Ikea and I decorate that! I thought I’d share some of my quick and inexpensive decorations for Valentine’s Day.
I saw this idea on Pinterest last year. It wasn’t a blog post, it was just one of those picture collages that doesn’t link to anything. But it was pretty self explanatory and turned out so cute!!
You start by grabbing a metal hanger and a pair of pliers. Bend the hanger into the shape of the word Love. I clipped off the end with the wire snip part of the pliers. Actually, I think these were some sort of electrical wire pliers but you can just use regular needle nose ones.
Find some thicker, fluffy yarn and start winding! When you get to the joints where the two pieces meet, just wind them together to connect them. Tomorrow I’ll be sharing a little tutorial on how to make the no sew bunting that is pictured above!
