I do usually cook up 1-2 lbs of beans in advance and freeze them in quart bags flat in the freezer.  I soak them overnight.  Rinse them in the morning and cook for about an hour or until they are soft.  Cool them.  Drain and bag up!  1 1/2c. cooked beans = 1 can]]></description>
