It snowed last night. The kids woke up, threw on their snow clothes, and anxiously ran outside to bask in the first snow of the season! I knew that when they came in stomping their boots, with their little snow-kissed cheeks, they would “need” hot cocoa. So, I dragged out my favorite recipe from last year, dusted it off and started cooking! I hope your snow laden crew will enjoy this as much as mine does.
Best Hot Coca Ever
1/3c. cocoa powder
1/3c. half and half or heavy whipping cream
1/2c. sugar
pinch of salt
Mix it all together in a pan.
Bring it to a boil and simmer 1-2 minutes.
Add 4c. milk
Heat through – but do not boil.
Top with marshmallows and enjoy!
